Introduction Child ren would likely develop their violent characters from watching violent medias such as televisions, radios, video games, and magazines.According to the article â€Å"The Psychological Effects of Violent Media on Children† by Aimee Tompkins, there are three main impacts of bad medias. First, they become less aware to the hurt and sorrows of other people. Second, they would be more afraid of their environment. And lastly, they would be more argumentative. Although surveys say that harmful video games can make children become more quarrelsome to others, a few parents and psychologists believe that some kids gain some good things from it.The researchers of the paper believe that watching violent media either brings good or bad effects to children, depending on how see it. Everything that children see or hear in the media affects them in some ways. They imitate what the television portrays in cartoons, primetime and reality shows. Parents should limit their children’s expos ure to violent acts. Unfortunately, violence is the preeminent form of entertainment. Current research shows that violent media is related to aggressive behavior. Some of these risky behaviors include cruelty to others and lack of self-reproach to one’s mistakes.On the other hand, the media such as films, video games and televisions argue that violent children are attracted to these kinds of uptight entertainment. These people believe that a child, in order to exhibit actions they have seen on the big screen, must have been exposed to more than just programming. Violent situations are all too common in everyday entertainment and there are far less programming choices that are not. Even if the choices do exist, a research has proven that parents have no big idea what their children watch on television.Many parents are more lenient or less concerned about possible negative influences brought by these violent medias. Parents are also seen bringing their children to watch feature films not suitable for their young age. As parents, they should be attentive to the content of what these forms of media have and ask whether it is appropriate for their child’s age. And the writer’s of this paper also believe that parents who allow their children to be exposed to violent medias are the reason why their children become disrespectful and disobedient to them.A lot of research has been conducted and most of these concluded that children learn aggressive attitudes and behavior from the contents of violent media. The children take in everything of what are shown in television whether it is beneficial for them or may be damaging to their minds for they still do not understand reality from fantasy. L. , (2011). This assessment of family health offers many approaches that involve getting to know the strengths and weaknesses of the family.According to Stanhope & Lascaster (2010), the family nursing assessment is the cornerstone for family nursing interventions and systematic processes that are used to identify the family’s developmental stages and risk factors. The Friedman Family Assessment Model (2003) provides guidelines for nurses to interview the structure and function of families. This paper will implement the Friedman Family Assessment Tool to assess the Harvey Family. Identify Data: The Harvey Family is a traditional family that is composed of 4 family members.AH is the father and is a 39 year old black male with a college degree in business. He is a plant manager at a steel mill in Jackson, MS. Mrs. BH is also African American and is the mother of the family. She is 35 years old and teaches at one of the local high schools in Jackson, MS. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey have 2 kids. CH is a 13 year on girl who is in the 7th grade and has asthma. Her brother, DH, is 6 years old in the 1st grade with no present known medical history. The whole family takes weekend trips every other weekend. They enjoy hiking, amusement parks, computers, shopping, and site seeing.Parents’ perception is that they are hardworking, good citizens who strongly believe in God and their religious beliefs are Methodist. This family appears to be in good health and proud parents of 2 kids. The family strengths consist of a rich history of Methodist beliefs, strong family morals, and high levels of education for greater opportunities. Family Structure: This couple has been married for 15 years. According to the Freidman Family Assessment Model (2003), their present developmental stage would be family with adolescent / young child.The extent of each of the parent’s developmental task appears to be properly fulfilled. They both agree not to have any more children. They practice safe sex with one partner and have no history of sexually transmitted diseases. The general health of the immediate family is overall good. The family history of the extended family denotes grandparents with hypertension and a few members who suffer with asthma. The father was diagnosed with hypertension and the mother denied any medical history except for a tubal ligation. The paternal grandfather (GH) is 75 years old and suffers from hypertension and is a heavy smoker.The paternal grandmother (SH) passed away 2 years ago from a stroke. 3 FAMILY HEALTH ASSESSMENT She was 70 years old. The maternal grandfather (SJ) is 77 and is under the care of a pulmonologist for COPD and asthma. The maternal grandmother (AJ) is 74 and has hypertension. BH has 2 brothers, (BJ and CJ). They both have hypertension also. AH also has siblings, 2 sisters (FH and KH) and 1 brother, (JH). FH has asthma and KH and JH both have hypertension. Environmental Data The Harvey Family lives in a well kept 4 bedroom brick home outside of the city limits of Jackson, MS.The community where they live is fairly small with a total of approximately 5600 citizens. Their gated neighbor has a code of covenants and each home has fences surrounded the backyard. They deny being active in the community activities. CH plays junior high basketball and DH is a part of their afterschool program, Frontiers. Family function The couple both agreed to being happily married and have a good support system of family and church members. Their average income is $130. 000. and they have medical coverage for the family. They are on a regular diet with few restrictions on fried foods and fat intake.The children eat school lunch and the parents from outside restaurant choices. Mom tries to cook a meal a day after work or they seldom eat Subway or Pizza Hut. No variation in weight gain or weight loss reported. They try to eat dinner as a family at home on a regular basis. However, this was not feasible all of the time due to dad’s late night work hours and CH basketball practices after school. They generally get 6-7 hours of sleep per night and denied any sleep deprivation. No exercise program has been implemented by this family. CH is the only physically, athletic member.DH stated that he likes to ride his bike. The children are active in Sunday school and participate in summer camp. Family Stress and Coping No major events have occurred in their life since the death of AH’s mom 2 years ago. In the event of any crisis, they depend on the extended family and church members for emotional and morale support. After this family assessment, I felt that the nursing wellness diagnosis (2012) for this family would be: 4 FAMILY HEALTH ASSESSMENT 1. Readiness for enhanced regular activity: related to planned exercise activity in the week for the family to improve overall health. . Readiness for enhanced nutrition: related to metabolic nutritional intake and reduce fat intake and increase intake of well-balanced diet for the family to promote better health. Risk Factors Facing Harvey Family Assessing the Harvey family, helped me to understand their biological and age related risk factors facing them based on the genogram and ecomap of their family. This genogram (Fig. 1-1) reveals a timeline of family history over 3 generations. The ecomap (Fig. 1-2) will define the family relationships with other neighbors and friends.It also represents the family’s interactions with other organizations and groups that are created by using circles and lines (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2010). According to the family history, the Harvey fami ly has a predisposition to develop hypertension and asthma. â€Å"High rates of hypertension in African Americans may be due to the genetic make-up of people of the African race. Many experts have stated that high blood pressure can be a combination of both genetic, lifestyle, and environmental, but is more prominent in blacks than in whites† (WebMD,2013).According to the Partners Asthma Center (2010), asthma is considered to be hereditary. CH’s grandfather suffered from COPD and asthma. As a result, she developed asthma, along with her aunt, FH. Surprisingly, none of her parents developed this disease. CH and DH are at high risk for developing hypertension, as well. There is a strong need for diet changes and a need for a exercise program to promote better health and wellness. Their social risk is high due to inadequate of recreation or health gyms noted in the Harvey’s community. The community was not noted for major pollution or high levels of noise.However, other stressful circumstances may derive from over worked parents and limited amount of family dinners together throughout the week. Conclusion As a nurse, my role in this case would be to offer help and guidance to the family, provide information, and the needed community resources. With regards to forecasting, mathematical models can often be tested for accuracy using empirical or experimental data. If it is able to describe this accurately, it can then be used for forecasting purposes, for which several methods exist. These include moving averages, exponential smoothing, techniques for extrapolating time series with tend and seasonal components, and regression models. In all of these however, there are gaps between the complexity of the real world and the simplicity of these abstract models. They demonstrate a spiritual concern with the resistance of material longing, the cessation of suffering, and how to apply Siddhartha’s teachings to help achieve the highest good. This essay examines the highest good humans can achieve in regards to Buddhist thought and considers whether I agree with this as an ideal. Buddhist philosophy argues in that in achieving the highest good individuals should accept suffering as an indelible part of the human condition (Humpherys 53). Buddhism argues that the positive value of life isn’t diminished by the truth of suffering, but by acceptance of life’s evanescence the human attains a higher degree of good (Davids 165). The Buddhist path to enlightenment has an answer to the problem of suffering. The Buddha found that when we experience happiness and joy, it is our spiritual duty to objectively remove ourselves from these experiences and become consciously aware of their impermanence. Buddhist philosophy contends that the human experience of joy and happiness is merely a reaction to a circumstance and not a permanent mental state. The very structural nature of happiness then includes the binary existence of unhappiness – the two are inseparable; therefore, even as happiness is impermanent, so is suffering. Ultimately, it’s believed that in recognition and acceptance the suffering, the human achieves a more relaxed mental state that leads to their realizing the highest degree of good. Another Buddhist element related to achieving the highest good is the belief that since suffering is a result of material longing and desire by eliminating material longing and desire, one can eliminate suffering and move towards achieving this highest good. While this is a simple formulation, the actual challenge of eliminating desire is extremely difficult. Craving can also be extended to include the gratification of the passions, or the longing we have for an abstract sense of accomplishment of success in our earthly lives. The Second Noble Truth states that if we persist in allowing our lives to be dominated by desire and ignorance we will always be haunted by an unachievable longing and pervasive suffering. Therefore, the Buddha states that to achieve the highest good one must be guided by what is, not what is desired. One must fight against their preconditioned ways of longing and desire and accept the world and their place as it currently exists, as this is the only path to the highest good. In following these Noble Truths the individual is able to achieve the highest good, or Nirvana. This is a spiritual state that transcends all traditional concerns with material existence. In considering these means of achieving the highest good I recognize that I generally disagree with this ideal. To begin with, I disagree with the idea that all of l ife is suffering, as one might argue that such a characterization of the human condition is overly pessimistic. When Buddha developed the Four Noble Truths the Indian people faced considerable difficulties in life. Their subsistence was harder earned than we experience today, and I believe that this element of Buddhist philosophy can be seen to be a response to this challenge of existence, rather than an accurate reflection of the human condition. The new site will be located in a suburb where there are families therefore the market will be families. ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES To effectively deal with the increase in the growth by expansion, it is necessary for there to be some internal changes. It is very necessary that the staff’s grooming should be done properly, so that they can serve the customers in a professional manner. When they open their second outlet from a single, Pizza Hut will have to keep some one on whom they can trust and can rely on and they have to shift a few staff from the present one to the opening one. As they opening a new outlet, they are turning from one into two outlets. Due to this the position of many of the staff’s have been will be changed. This change does not affect their work, they have an effective communication channels among the employees. This could be in the form of giving the staff a proper atmosphere in which they can settle easily, the changes in the outlet and the goals that the Pizza Hut wants to attain. RECOMMENDATION Starting up the new outlet, initially it will not give them that much profit but it will definitely give some. For this: 1. Pizza Hut should shift few of their staff and of course one of the leader to supervise from the existing outlet to the one which will open in the near future. 2. They should appoint few new staff for the existing outlet and also foe the future’s outlet so that the one who are new in the new outlet can get t know more from their seniors who are shifted from the existing business. 3. For marketing about their new outlet they should restructure they method in which the do the marketing. 4. The market research was done on few people in Baroda, Gujarat, and not in the whole of Baroda. So the extensive market research needs to be conducted across the whole Baroda, Gujarat to get the proper kind of information about the location. CONCULSION The report shows that Pizza Hut should pen the new outlet in Baroda, Gujarat, India. If Pizza Hut increases their staff, then it would be in a better position to serve the customers and if they shift few of their trained staff and give training to the new staff to whom they are going to appoint then they would also be in the better position. They should also shift one of the managers to the new outlet so that in case if any problem occurs then they will be able to handle it. The financial aspects of the undertaking are not the problem for the Pizza Hut as it is in a strong financial stage. But the recruitment of the new staff cold affects the staffs. The environment and the working portfolio of the staffs will be changed as Pizza Hut will reconstruct the marketing set-up. So before employing the new staff Pizza Hut should let the old staff settle into their working environment. As previously said, the personal interview were only conducted in Gujarat, and the result of this only represented he view of customers from Gujarat. Hence, the further market research needs to be done to get a broader perspective on this study. The indirect costs associated with the undertaking the project will have to ascertain. As previously mentioned, one indirect cost is that a large recruitment could lead to a decrease in the motivation of the existing staffs. Other indirect cost could be in the form of the training program for the new recruits to a specialist company, so that it is done efficiently. Endodontic Surgery (Apicoectomy) In this modern times patient increasingly wish to preserve their natural dentition and often reluctant to get there teeth extracted . Endodontic surgery (apicoectomy) is the treatment performed on the root apices of an infected tooth, and its resection and removal of pathological tissues around the apices followed by placement of a filling (retrofilling) to seal the root end. Endodontic surgery offers patient a second chance or the final chance to save there tooth. Success of Root end surgery had a poor prognosis and success rate in the past but due to recent advances Endontics due to the surgical operating microscope and new tecniques the rate is much higher than before success Its indications are as follows 1 RCT treated tooth that has severe periapical inflammation despite of a satisfactory RCT 2 Tooth with persistant periapical inflammation and inadequate RCT and has the following problems a Severely curved root canals where access is an issue to reach the apex b Completely calcified root canals C Presence of post and cores in root d Breakage of small instrument or filling material where it is not retrievable and an infection is still present in the apical region. Teeth with periapical inflammation where completion of endodontic therapy due to 1 Foreign body present in the periapical tissues 2 Perforation of the inferior wall of the pulp chamber 3 Perforation of the root 4 Fracture of the apical third of the root 5 Dental anomalies (Dense in Dente ) 6 Access for periradicular curettage A non healing endodontic lesion is recognized by persistent pain and/or swelling, possibly with radiographic changes indicating increasing periapical bone loss. Non healing endodontically treated teeth that do not appear to be healing are not automatic indications for extraction and replacement with an implant. Persistent nonhealing cases can be saved by endodontic microsurgery with a predictably favorable prognosis Nonsurgical endodontic treatment has a high rate of clinical success despite the anatomic and pathologic challenges of the procedure. Success in case of tooth without periapical extension of pathosis is more than 90%. On the other hand, studies show that infected root canals with an extension of pathosis into the periapical space have a reduced healing capacity . previously the conventional endosurgery has very low success rate . it was recorded as low as 37.4 % but now with recent advancement in endodontic surgery the success rate has improved significantly. According to a study conducted by shimon Friedman and Chaim Mor ( success of endodontic therapy -healing and functionality) in patients were endodontic surgery is performed the chances of healing after retreatment is between 74 to 86 %and their chance of being functional overtime is 91 to 97 % .Another study ( modern endodontic surgery concept and practice by syngcuk Kim and Samuel Kratchman)said that the traditonal apical surge rybased on clinical symptoms and radiographic findings ranges from 44% to 90%.it has even higher success rate with the endodontic microsurgery. . According to another study (outcome of surgical endodontic treatment performed by a modern technique A meta anlysis conducted by Igor Tsesis , Surgical endodontic treatment have a success rate of 91 .4 % when followed up in a year time . According toa study named Outcome of endodontic micro re- surgery by Minju song and team à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦. When an endodontic surgery fails we need to identify the problem and find the reason for failure. To solve the problem further treatment like retreatment with surgery and, extraction are the viable options. Some studies in the past have documented poor success rate if we have to redo a failed surgery again. But this study said that with the new microscope and microsurgical devices the success rate can be as high as 92.9 %. Most of the reason for failure is poor technique,poor seal at the apical region and not using biocompatible materials like MTA and super PBA in the past. In another recent study it was found that, at least in America, endodontic surgery was the least expensive intervention for failed RCT when compared to endodontic re-treatment and crown, extraction and fixed partial denture, or extraction and implant (Kim Solomon, 2011). When primary `endodontic treatment fails retreatment should be done and when retreated and if there is severe inflammation in the periapical tissues then endo surgery can be an option using advance techniqies and good operationg skill can add to the success of endo surgery. 1 Microscope The microscope will provide good visualization, identification and treatment of infected canals, isthmuses and variant anatomy not reachable with traditional instrumentation techniques. Microscope can reach to more different locations and narrow spaces, by providing a clear field of vision. Good visualization also prevents damage to anatomical structures. Microscopic techniques significantly decrease complications and expand the case applicability for performing this procedure on teeth adjacent to these structures. With increased magnification and illumination, differentiating the root surface from the surrounding bone is also enhanced .A main cause of nonsurgical endodontic failure results from the inability to clean and sterilize the apical canal space, which is a complex anatomical entity. 2 ultrasonic tips That allow accurate preparation along the long axis of the root canal with clear visualization of the preparation . This technique will allow us to do root-end fillings in the proper position to seal the root canal to sufficient filling depth and thickness to effectively seal the canal, dentinal tubules and accessory canals. Ideal ultrasonic tip length is 3mm long. A minimum of 3mm preparation depth is needed to prevent leakage. 3 Surgical advances A smaller osteotomy will reduce bone removal (approximately 3-4mm) in diameter reduced bone and permits quicker uneventful postoperative healing postoperative healing. By removing less bone in the coronal direction, buccal bone can be preserved and subsequent periodontal sequelae that may lead to the loss of the tooth are prevented. Root-tip resection of 3mm is needed to eliminate lateral canals and apical ramification- A study shows that the resection of 3mm of apex eliminates 98 percent of apical ramifications and 93 percent of lateral canals. Root section bevel angle is reduced to 0 -10 degrees Clear examination of the resected root surfaces for fracture and anoatomical variations Root-end fillings with MTA (Mineral Trioxide Aggregate- It has excellent biocompatibility, osteo- and cemento-inductive capabilities, effective antibacterial and sealing properties, and faster radiographic healing in comparison to SuperEBA and IRM. Microcredit offers loans to poor people without requesting any financial history from them. These loans help to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities through commitment. Inner and Outer Beauty :: Sociology, Power, Attractiveness

Beautiful is a praising and admiring description which most people would love to hear about themselves. Although some people believe inner beauty is more important than outer beauty, the truth is that most people love outer beauty. As stated by Emerson, â€Å"if eyes were made for seeing, then beauty is its own excuse for being† (â€Å"Ralph Waldo Emerson,† par. 28). People not only want to be beautiful, but they also tend to seek physical attractiveness. In fact, this is a culture consumed by beauty and attractiveness (Bennett, par.3). From mass fairy-tale stories and Hollywood movies, most people have learnt the stereotype of being beautiful is good and being ugly is bad. The stories and movies always show attractive actors and actresses defeating wicked, ugly villains. This strong stereotype, which powerfully influences each person’s concept of beauty, causes people to believe a beautiful person is more successful and superior. Dr. Herron states that â€Å" the ‘Beauty = Power’ formula is deeply entrenched in our psyches† (Herron 109). To be sure, beauty is a capital power which can determine and improve one’s life (Bennett, par. 1) since it can influence the clubs they join, the friendships they make, the people they marry, the jobs people get, and the salaries they earn (Berry 3). Attractive people are able to have many advantages and positive outcomes, such as having more popularity, greater confidence, more dating opportunities, more promotional chances, and higher salaries (Patel, Utpal, and Rebecca, par.4). Being attractive is important nowadays because it affects people’s interpersonal relationships and workplace experiences. First of all, attractive people are more likely to have better relationships in societies. The author of the article â€Å"Women’s Beauty: Put Down or Power Source?† mentions that â€Å"beauty is a form of power (Sontag 94),† which is true, especially in building relationships. To have good social and interpersonal interactions, the essential factor is physical attractiveness (Patel, Utpal, and Rebecca, par.1). Of course, inner beauty is necessary, but most people would not want to understand and know others deeply who are unattractive or give an unpleasant first impression. For example, I am one of those people who choose their friends by their good looks, and I would say even though some of my friends are plain, none of them would be categorized as homely. How we perceive ourselves and influence others’ perception Essay

To begin with the first principle of, how people perceive the world in different ways. Of course, each single person has his or her own way of thinking and understanding the world. Evidently, this individualistic way of thinking has been predisposed upon every one of us by forces such as: physical condition, cultural background and social roles. These invisible forces disturb the flow of successful communication. As such, my perception will be different if I am not feeling well; or in my culture, what is considered good and important may considered bad and unimportant for others. For example, eye contact is important for Canadian but I think it is a sign of disrespectful to look into one’s eyes. Social role is another challenge for successful communication, for example, when entering into a business contract, handshakes are not acceptable anymore, the two parties must sign a formal agreement documents. The second principle is our self-concept, the perception each individual ho lds of himself and herself; and, it has a powerful effect on one’s communication behaviour. In order to communicate with others, first, one should know who he or she is? This idea refers to one’s personality, physical characteristics, cultural identity, and religion. For example, I am a tall, male, about 30 years old, a student, and believe in God; among all, the most important part of my self-concept is my religion. For example, I feel strongly religious and I proclaim that I am proud of being an Ismaili Muslim. Sometimes, I am fully confident about my religious views and expect others to accept my remarks and believe. The strong feeling that I have about my religious believe has a powerful effect on the way I communicate; often, People start to reject my remarks and turn away from the conversation. The third principle is the messages we send can shape others’ self –concepts and therefore influence their communication. In fact, each of us possess several self-concept. In contrast, presenting self is a public image and it is the way we want to present ourselves in public, in a socially acceptable image, to influence others to believe. We try to maintain our own identity and communicating in ways that, support identities that others are trying to present. For example, if a friend of me barrows my book and forget to return It on time, he might apologise for the delay; however, I would say, it is ok or not a problem; even if, I need the book urgently. This example shows that I am a nice person and does not criticize  others. The last principle is the images we present to the world varies from one situation to another. Definitely, the physical appearance and behaviours of a person plays a big role in a successful communication. Our clothing, hair style and the way we walk and talk present our images to people around us. It is important to know that the images we present to others varies from one situation to another. For example, when I am visiting a friend who are in a terrible situation; I am trying to present an image of myself, in a way to, not make him upset. Or if I am going for a job interview, I will try to present the maximum professional image I can. Over all, the way we perceive ourselves and others, and the messages and images that we send to influence others perceptions, are thing that we normally living and practicing them in everyday life but mostly not noticing them.

Thus, by having a good digestive health a person increases the chances of prolonging his life by having a healthy diet but people nowadays tend to eat what ever they please. Majority does not really care about how nutritious their food is as long as they satisfy their hunger.Little do these people know that what they eat can affect their body system. Sztainer (2008) provides recommendations to maintain a healthy body and good eating habits. First, unhealthy eating must be counteracted with long-term eating behaviors which will also help in the promotion of positive body image. They become depressed and tend to engage themselves in dangerous methods that will help them lose the weight they gained from eating too much. There are many ways to prevent diseases that involve not only the digestive system but also the other systems of the body. It’s supposed to be a humorous take on how all the biggest tech companies are organized. It might have to be updated to account for changes at Apple. When Steve Jobs was in charge, everything flowed through him. Now that he’s dead, the company is taking on a more collaborative approach, according to various reports. The latest, from Adam Satarino at Bloomberg, says Jony Ive is encouraging Apple’s software and hardware teams to collaborate, something that never happened under Jobs. Ive was given control over Apple’s software look and feel in November. Previously, he was only in charge of the look of the hardware. This new collaborative approach is causing Apple to be more deliberate than in the past, says Satarino. This could lead to delays, he says. Because this is Ive’s first crack at Apple’s software, ità ¢â‚¬â„¢s understandable that there are going to be delays. He’s spent six months on a project that normally takes a year. In the long run it will be interesting to see how this collaborative approach works. As the org chart above demonstrates, Apple was always a company with one guy making all the calls. This made product decisions easier. But it also made them slower at times. We heard from a source that Apple often faced bottlenecks because everything had to flow through Jobs. And Jobs was the kind of person who would get intensely focused on one thing, leading to him ignoring other products at the company. Former Apple employee David Sobotta told us, â€Å"If we saw Steve Jobs come into a briefing, he couldn’t talk about anything else, other than the thing he was working on †¦ He came into an enterprise sales briefing, and at the time he was working on iMovie. So, we’d be talking about home movies in the enterprise briefing.† In theory, the new organizational structure should help certain divisions make decisions more quickly. But, collaboration has its downside. In telepathic communication, aliens transfer their own thoughts to another being without the use of normal sensory channels. In this process, an alien sender can transfer his thoughts to another receiver using only the mind. ... According the communication scholar Jens Alwood, the cultural difference s between groups of these types are often just as great as or even greater than those that exist between national cultures. The importance of intercultural communication has been greatly recognized because we have become increasingly globalized due to the unprecedented advancement of our technology, transportation, and communication. As such, acquiring intercultural communication skills is important to avoid misunderstanding and mistakes when dealing with people from other cultural groups. To deal with our differences, communication scholars have categorized an individual’s intercultural communicative competence based on knowledge, motivation, and skills.
